MorphoWord is version of the MetaMorpho translation program to be used under Microsoft Word. The program translates the selected English or Hungarian text or the whole document in case there is no selection.

MorphoWord opens a new document for the translation. The original paragraphs are inserted into the text with a yellow background and the translations are placed below. After the revision and the eventual post-edition of the translation the original text can be deleted by a single mouse-click.

The translation program aims at recognising the whole sentence structure. If it understands the English sentence structure, the result will be a correct sentence. If it fails to do so, the result is made up from the series of the recognised sentence fragments.

System requirements

IBM PC compatible, 512 MByte RAM, 500 MByte HDD; Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 operation system and MS Office 2000, XP, 2003 or 2007.

Activation

The program requires activation before use. The activation is automatic on computers with internet connection, in other cases it happens through electronic mail.

Further Applications

Mails in Outlook can be translated if Outlook uses Word for editing. To translate an incoming mail you have to push the Reply button to open the letter in Microsoft MorpoWord. Plain text (TXT) can be loaded into Word so this usage is supported. For translation of webpages (HTML) we suggest MorphoWeb or if you already a MorphoWord than MorphoWord Plus. Sentences in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) can be translated by MoBiCAT.


The MT-system and the English-Hungarian database is developed by MorphoLogic. The Hungarian-English database is developed in a cooperation of MorphoLogic, the Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Science and the Department of Informatics at the University of Szeged.

MorphoWord is available on CD and downloadable versions. The CD version can be purchased in our shop for cash or by bank transfer. You can also order it on the internet. In case of internet shopping you may pay with credit card (abroad and in Hungary), or at home on delivery (in Hungary). You must activate the program, which can be done by entering your serial number. The serial number of MorphoWord CD version can be found in the CD box. In case of download version you will receive the serial number immediately. If you pay on delivery, the serial number will be handled to you with the bill.

Activation needs internet connection. If your computer does not have internet connection, you can send the required data in e-mail from another computer. Automatic reply with the activation code will be generated immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions


This FAQ is a supplement to MorphoWord Help. We recommend you to read the help file also.

MorphoWord icons disappeared from the Toolbar. How can I get the MorphoWord toolbar back?

Check whether the Word Toolbars (View/Toolbars) contains MorphoWord, and is enabled (checked).
MS Office 2003 sometimes disables the program. Check the list under Help/Microsoft Office/Banned elements. If you find MorphoWord here then enable its operation again.

MorphoWord inserts the source text twice.

MorphoWord works properly only in Insert mode. Turn the your Word back to Insert mode inTools\Settings\Edit\Overwite selected .

MorphoWord leaves words untranslated.

Generally it is caused by misspelled words or missing space after punctuations. It is worth to spell check the document before translation.

 

I got "Error 1715" MorphoWord activation. What does it mean?

MorphoWord can be used only one computer at the same time. If you change your machine or reinstall the operation system before one year you must contact us. This message means that you have exceeded your activation limit.
