The development of Hungarian ontology and application of it to information extraction systems.
The aims of this project are the development of a semantically structured general ontology for the Hungarian language, built upon the results and formalism of EuroWordNet; the expansion of this ontology with a domain specific ontology, containing the expressions of special sublanguage, the business language; and finally, the demonstration of the application of the resulting technology to the field of information extraction.

The project is carried out with partial help of the GVOP-2004-3.1.1 research fund.
Timeframe: Feb 1, 2005 - April 30, 2007
